The State of Israel is constantly under threats. These threats focus mainly on the home front, as could be clearly seen during the 2006 Lebanon War. Emergencies, in general, can be caused by enemy assaults, terrorist attacks (for instance: attacks against infrastructures and intentional water poisoning), or alternatively due to damage to infrastructures as a result of natural disasters (such as earthquakes) or technical malfunctions. Hence, we need to be prepared and have the ability to manage emergency scenarios at times of peace and upon the declaration of emergency situations. The experts of the National Security Unit teach municipalities/organizations ways to enhance their readiness for various emergencies through tailored instructions and training programs for their employees and staff. The more we train and prepare a population for emergencies, the smaller the potential damage will be! The instructors and consultants of the National Security Unit's Rescue Department are all senior veterans of the Home Front Command with years of experience in disaster and emergency management; these veterans have prepared various programs and seminars on immediate responses to emergencies with the aid of locally deployed forces.
