Database protection requires an examination of every potential threat and the analysis of locations where data is stored and the nature of the data that is accessible to employees, directors, and managers.

Applying database-protection plans requires preliminary planning pursuant to professional standards. Preliminary planning is intended to analyze threats based on the organization's requirements and objectives. A data-protection plan must enable the organization's employees to perform their regular tasks and have access to the information they need, while limiting or prohibiting access to information that is not supposed to be available to them.

The department's specialists can examine the organization and determine the necessary security system against business/industrial espionage including internal control and inspection measures. Based on this examination, this team of specialists submits recommendations concerning the protection of the organization's databases and (digital and physical) information. The National Security Unit's consultants can prepare work procedures and manage their application to facilitate the safe use of classified information by the organization's employees; as part of this process, our consultants deliver training sessions to teach preventative measures.

The National Security Unit's specialists can also search for wiretapping devices in any premises from which sensitive information may be leaking and conduct polygraph tests for employees who have access to classified information.
